Disable Instant Search Notification in Outlook 2007

The Deskop/Instant Search Installation notification doesn't appear to have a
way of being permanently disabled, and some people (including those who are
security conscience and those who wish to prevent over 120MB of Active Memory
Usage) do not wish to install the Desktop Search functionality. This would be
a very important functionality wise and security wise.

http://www.slipstick.com/emo/2006/up060525.htm#search explains how to disable the prompt. Since WDS is a beta, expect changes in the future.

Also, if you want to provide feedback on the public preview version of Office 2007 Beta 2, get the Send a Smile tool from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=A2E1F4E2-BC0F-4403-B09F-7A677D55F274.
