Disable Close Button

Hi All,

I have found a great bit of code on the Microsoft website on how to disable
the close button on Access 2000.

I need the equivalent code for Access 2007 and Access 2003. Can anyone help?

I know all the pros and cons of doing this and how else the user can close
the database, please just trust that i know what i'm doing.

Thanks
Emma

What are you using to disable the close button in Access 2000?

Assuming you're using some API method, I would expect it to work the same
for both Access 2003 and Access 2007.

I am using the code from the Microsoft Knowledge Base, i don't know if this
is API or not, either way, it doesn't work with 2003 & 2007.

I found some advice somewhere else, which simplistically, is to make a form
'uncloseable' by putting Cancel = True in the form's Close event and then
when the Quit button is pressed, it superceeds the Cancel = True.

Both bits are now in my database and it works with 2000, 2003 & 2007.
