Disable anon connections, w/SQL server on XP Home?

First the question, then the setup:
How can one disable other Win' PC's from making connections into a PC
running SQL server?

Here's the deal:
We have an XP Home SP2 PC running a UPS management program (postal,
not power supply) which installed SQL Service Manager v. 8.00.2039.
This PC has recently been locking up and crashing periodically, with a
message about running out of drive space. Yet it has gigs of drive
free.
Looking in Event Viewer, I found messages about registry space and
profiles (sorry about no exact message, I'm not in that building right
now.) So I Googled the error and was directed to a Microsoft tech page
where it was advised to download some app that released registry space
for profiles back into use.

So far so good I think. But I think that's just dealing with the
symptom.
The Event Viewer is FILLED with these kind of entries labeled "SUCCESS
AUDIT" :
Logon attempt by: MICROSOFT_AUTHENTICATION_PACKAGE_V1_0
Logon account: Angie
Source Workstation: CUSTSERVICE1
Error Code: 0x0

and

User Logoff:
User Name: ANONYMOUS LOGON
Domain: NT AUTHORITY
Logon ID: (0x0,0x4E6AC1C)
Logon Type: 3

And they're from every Windows account and workstation on the network!
Around, 20 or so.
I'm guessing it's all these connections to her machine, I think
because of the SQL server, that profile space is being used up willy-
nilly, yes?

Now, there's only one workstation that actually needs to connect to
the PC in question to use the UPS software.
How can I prevent the other 19 PC's from constantly trying to connect
to her PC? That is, if I'm on the right track here.

Thanks for any replies!
Liam
