I asked about this several months ago and got some useful advice, but now
that we've had 4 months of progress and turnover, let me ask again...
What's involved in using DirectShow to edit video? I have a collection of
AVI files and need to write a program that will extract portions of the AVI
files and segment them together in a specified way. I also need to preview
them on-screen. I've been using Video for Windows (VfW, a.k.a. AVIfile) but
it apparently doesn't accept the latest format of AVI file and I'm getting
wary of sticking with such an old technology.
The biggest obstacle to DirectShow is having to code the COM interface in
C#.
Thoughts, anyone?
