Directplay Voice Setup

Whilst trying to use the Sound Hardware Test Wizard in DirectPlay Voice
Setup,
it fails with the following error code 0X80004005.
The hardware acceleration tab is at max.
Any help would be appreciated......Peter

What is your sound hardware? What is your end goal?

Sound hardware is SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio [D8C0]
Not sure what you mean...end goal
I used to use this facility to check my mic was working ok

Are you using the latest drivers from Creative?
The latest version of DirectX from MS?

Also, I Googled for your error and got some links that may be helpful.
