I am using windows XP Pro. When I view my dirctory listing (text)
some of the folders and files are blue. As far as I know there is no
compression onm the drive.

Any Help

Thanks

XP Pro defaults to compressing old files/folders. The blue color
distinguishes the compressed folders.

The only thing I know if compresses =by default= are the
$NTUninstal<blah> folders for hotfixes, under c:\windows. The rest you
have to ask for yourself (possible in disk cleanup, or by manually
setting the folder to compress).
