Directories locked

Hi, I am running xp pro. I have administrator rights and
loggedin as admin. Suddenly, under my docs few
directories are locked and can't get access to them, rest
of them are fine. I restart my computer but still says
access denied. I haven't install any update. Does some
one have any idea why suddenly few directories behaving
like this. Thanks
 
You may want to run your virus scan program! It sounds
like someone other then you may have control of your
files in your computer, If the out come of your virus
scan is clean? Then check your registry? If you have not
installed any updates and you are locked out of some
files, then try to use the system restore in windows XP?
You might want to go back as far as earlier this week?
