Direct Email to Another Folder

I have searched the forum, but haven't found an answer to my particular
question. I am running Outlook 2003 on xp sp2 connected to a server at the
office. I have a couple of add ins (getting things done & shareO). I have
an .ost file on my computer that syncs with the exchange server. However,
the server will not sync these particular items. Instead they are moved to a
Sync Issues folder.

I couldn't figure out how to stop that, and rather than deal with IT
support, I'm trying a work around. I created a new data file within my
existing profile so that I would have a .pst that would reside on my local
desktop and not sync with the exchange server.

I have created a rule that takes all email that comes in to be moved to my
..pst inbox. It is moving the received emails to the folder I want, but won't
delete them out of my .ost exchange server email inbox. So, a couple of
questions:

1. How can i create a rule that will move incoming mail to the exchange
email inbox (.ost) to my .pst inbox so that the mail in the exchange email
inbox is deleted? I've checked the "and delete it" option in the rules, but
that doesn't work.

2. Or, is there a way to have email skip my exchange folder 'mailbox' and go
straight to my .pst mailbox folders?

3. Or, does anyone know how to keep these specific emails (and other items)
from causing a sync problem with the exchange server? I'd be glad to just
use the exchange server "mailbox" folders.

Thanks!

It would really help if you told us the error reported in the synch issue.
At the moment (wild guess) it sounds like your ost-file is corrupted. Rename
it to .old and have Outlook resynch with the Exchange server.

As for the pst-file. You can set your default delivery location in Toos->
E-mail Accounts-> Next...
