Direct cable connection

I have a direct cable connection between my laptop and
pc. Howcomes I can access the laptop's files from the pc,
but I can't access the pc's files from the laptop?

certainly sounds like a permissions issue. Have you done
the basic check to see that file and printer sharing is
enabled on the desktop machine, the pc?

yes, they are all enabled, the PC is also on a LAN
connection with another PC, could this affect it?
