Digital signature problems

I have created a template with macros, but to run them my coworkers
have to set their macro security settings to low. (I don't have this
problem because for some reason my machine is "stuck" on low security
and can't be changed).

I work on a DOD computer and I can attach a DOD certified signature to
the project, but apparently only other DOD computers accept that as a
trusted source automatically.

1) Does anyone know if a non-DOD computer can somehow be told to accept
the digital signature as a trusted source so it can work on their
computer without having to reset the macros security level to low every
time?

2) If not, then can I create my own siganture that I can share with
others?

Lost in signature land...please help!

Yes. Look up Excel help for "digital certificate". Create your own
digital certificate, then sign your macro with your certificate. Tell
your users to trust your certificate. It won't ask them again. They can
always edit which certificates to trust.

Did all that. Sent the file home...opened in in Medium security
(anything higher and the option to accept doesn't exist), accepted the
macros and stored the certificate for future use. Must not have done
it right because when I reopened the file at high security it still
forced me to disable the macros...did not recognize the certificate.
Maybe I need more explicit instructions
