hi can anyone help? i am using my digital camera as a
web cam to communicate with family and friends usin msn
messenger. The problem is the driver is loaded on my pc
but when i try to select launch cam it tells me a camera
has not been detected. As a work round i can reload the
driver using the cd from the supplier of my camera, but
this takes time and it restarts the pc etc... and then i
get the little icon telling me new hardware has been
found..i can then launch the programme and it will work
for one time. Once I stop the web conversation and if i
want to communicate with someone else it tells me a
camera has not been connected. Any suggestions welcome.
Sorry for the vagueness I am no technician!!
Thank you

Have you gone to the manufacturer's web site and looked around for newer drivers? Do
you have broadband?

yes i have broadband....the manufacturers have not been
very helpful...any other suggestions

Sorry it took so long for my answering this.
Disable your modem and see if it solves your problem. Some of these web cams look for
a dial up. Control panel, systems folder, hardware tab, device manager, expand the
modems, right click your modem, properties, device usage, do not use this device
(disable).
