Digi cam problem....

My computer is a 2400 athlon with 40gig HD and 500 ddr ram running XP
pro with the usuall installed office, outlook express et al..

I just bought a vivitar digicam which is low end I know, but it takes
snaps and doubles as a web cam, or did the first day. Since then the
computer id's if as a mass storage device and when I try to activate the
web cam functions I get the nessage *No camera found*.

I can perform other camera functions like uplaoding the pictures from it
to the computer... but not make it act as a web cam anymore...

The computer has even assigned it a drive letter *I*.....

Any helpfull advice appreciated since my friend 'google' isn't forthcoming

Have you checked for drivers for your digicam at
http://www.vivitar.com/CustService/driverindex.html?
