Ok, I am trying to do an online virus scan. Before I got Vista I did one
every couple of months on top of my virus program because I have caught them
that way. Anyway, since I have Vista, I keep trying to do online scans, thru
various companies, and I get the same message....I have to have administrator
privledges to install active x. Well, I AM the administrator. My user name
is the ONLY user name on the computer, and it says I am the administrator
when I check the settings. From what I can tell, everything is as it should
be. So, why can't these things install??? I have been nothing but
frustrated with Vista, and this is just adding more to the plate. Any help
is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Run Internet Explorer in administrator mode. RIGHT click on the Internet
Explorer icon and select "run as Administrator". In Windows Vista even
administrators run with reduced privileges as a security measure.
