Different icon displayed when inserting cd-roms

When I insert some of my cd-roms, the wrong icon is displayed. Instead of
showing the proper icon, it's displaying an icon from a tombraider game,
tomb4.exe.

I tried deleting every instance of tomb4.exe from my system, and yet the
icon still displays.

On the cd-roms that show the wrong icons, the autorun.inf includes these
lines:

[autorun]
open=autorun.exe
icon=autorun.exe,0

If I click on "open" on the cd-rom I see the proper icon on autorun.exe.

There must be some other source for Windows XP to get icon information from,
but I can't find it.

Please help.

I'm running Windows XP SP2 with all the current updates.

Didn't you just post this question this morning? It doesn't help to

Sorry, I looked for the other post and couldn't find it. I found it now
but no response.

Apparently no one knows where Windows XP "hides" default icons.

It's not in shell32.dll, so there must be another spot they are stored.

wrong icon displayed
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application
Data\IconCache.db

I just renamed the file to .dbx, logged out and just to check, logged into
another account on this system and the icon is OK. Went back to my account
and it seems ok as well. I'll just delete this file.

Why would visual studio .net 2002 cause this problem?
