Different Display Resolution for Different Users?

J

Jonathan Wood

I've bought a new Dell computer with Vista.

I need some work done in a lower screen resolution so I created a second
account. However, when I reduce the resolution of the second account and
then switch back to the first account, I see the first account has also been
changed to the lower resolution.

Is there no way to set up two accounts with different screen resolutions?

Thanks for any tips.

dont tell me that vista after 5 years of development, is still not doing
that???
If this is indeed the case it is a fantastic example of neglect by the vista
development team. Why?

Becasue people have been asking for this for ages on XP and it is easy to do
if they wanted to add it in vista... but noooooooo why add features people
really want? We will add a huge amount of our OWN crap that bogs down the OS
and change everything so it will be uglier and harder to use...

and we will call THAT progress! lol

If you are just sooooooo good, go and write an OS the way YOU want it; and
piss off and leave us in peace

Mick, although I do understand your frustration, you cannot stop people from
saying what the think. If you want to, you should be part of a moderated
forum.

Until you do that, here are some tips:
1) You can block the users that you don't like via outlook express
2) You can just not press on the messages to read their posts if you don't
like them.

You are free to chose what you read, and be in peace.

Good luck

If there's no workaround, I can only assume there was some issue why MS
shyed away from this.

But I agree things would be way better if that was supported.
