Difference in external HDD via USB between XP Home and XP Professi

I have two HDD's in USB enclosures for exchanging information between PC's
with XP home and XP professional. With one of the external HDD's there is
never a problem. This enclosure has a CY7C68300A chip from Cypress built in.
The other exterhal HDD has an enclosure (the problem one) with a Myson
Century CS8818G chip. With XP Professional systems however there is never a
problem.
Only with XP home edition the problem HDD does'nt show up with Windows
Explorer. There is also no autorun activity for this HDD. When I look in the
data of configuration/system/hardware etc. for the usb mass storage device
there are only (important) differences in the "compatible id's" data between
both HDD's.
The good working has : USB\CLass\&SubClass_06&Prot_%50 and the bad one has:
USB\CLass\&SubClass_05&Prot_%50.
The Led's of the bad working enclosure indicate long "search"actions on the
drive which at the same time "lock-up" the Windows system until they mostly
finally stop after minutes.
I have also noticed differences between XP Professional and XP Home systems
in the way the handle "restore information" in the System Volume Information
folder on the drive. The XP pro systems have there "own" Restore folders
containing RP folders while XP Home systems seem to work with the "oldest"
Restore folder in which they create their RP folders.
It seems to me that the "long" search actions of the XP Home systems has
something to do with that they cannot handle/find the proper RP folder to
manage the drive's information.
Possibly combined with the USB protocol responses on the Myson Century
CS8818G chip.
Has anybody seen something simular and a clue of what happens??

I can't ask this question directly to Microsoft experts because I have an
OEM software license and in such cases Microsoft refers to your PC
manufacturer to solve such problems.
While everyone can clearly see that a big deal of the occurring problems is
caused by the "behaviour" of the XP Home edition ( with SP2 and the latest
updates) systems.

Thanks beforehand for your response.

Kind regards,
