Difference between Reports and Forms

Just a general question as to what criteria someone might
use to decide whether to use a report or a form, to
update and replace older printed reports.
 
Forms are used for on screen interactions between the user
and the database. Reports are designed to be printed,
i.e. presenting passive information.
