Difference between Excel 97 and Office XP

Is there a difference in saving a file and opening a file
in Office XP, if some one has saved the orginal file in
Excel 97?
Example: If some users have Excel 97 and save and the
file was created in Office XP, can the user that is using
Excel 97 open the the Office XP file?

I think I said that right. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi
yes he can. File formats are identical. You may encounter problems with
- some macros
- maybe pivot tables
