Hello All - is there a difference between starting chkdsk /r from a command
line in Windows and starting from the Repair option when booting with a
Windows Xp CD?

It appears there's no difference but just curious.

The cmd from Windows runs it the next time system is restarted.

Thanks in Advance,
Barranquillero

There is no essential difference, other than the boot process
running on any partition, even the system partition.
