dialup on demand

T

Terry

Win2k server demand dialup dials and connects each time a
workstation is restarted and at other times for no obvious
reason.

Filtering stops this behavior, but also stops workstations
from initiating a dialup.

Think this is a DNS issue but not sure what to do about it.

Any help, thanks.

In the properties of demand-dial connection you can specify demand-dial filters. I.e. when your server gets some traffic matching any of the filters specified in the connection properties, it will initiate the connection. Looks like your case - check the properties and remove unneeded filters from there.
