Dialling out problem

XP SP1 Pro. I have just done a load of windows and updates from MS and for
some reason, every time I boot up, something on my system attempts to
connect to the internet. Last time I had this, I had a virus - but two virus
checkers, spybot and adaware say my system is clean. How can I find what is
trying to call out and then stop/remove it?

Let it dial and type in a command prompt

netstat -a -o

and look up the PID in Task Manager's Process tab (you'll need to add the
PID column via the View menu).

There'll be a few normal ones. It will be easier if you prevent IE, OE,
Messenger, etc from running.
