Dial-Up Settings Problem

I Have set up my dialup connections for my ISP using the Network Connections
setup wizards in Windows XP SP1.
The first few days everything worked fine...but after some days when I start
my system and click on the connection to dial i find that the user name and
phone number to dial have changed...but the password is the same.I have to
manually change them back and everything works fine, i am able to connect to
the internet and surf normally.But the next time I Start or Restart the same
thing happens.
I have scanned my system for viruses using the latest virus definitions. The
values always change to the same thing everytime...
What could be the problem?

First eliminate any spyware.

In WinXP SP2: You can fix Winsock by going to Start | Run and typing
CMD
In the command window type
netsh winsock reset

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
