Dial up Connection proplems

Hi hope someone can help, im having problems disconnecting from my dialup
connection (yes i know dialup is old hat) i can dial up and connect fine surf
the net no problem. But when i close internet explorer down i gett the
message do you want to disconnect or stay connected , i select disconnect,
but then the computer just locks up, will not disconnect. i hace to turn the
power off and reboot.
xpHome sp2
zoom usb external modem

any ideas ?????

First thing I would try is make sure you have the correct and latest driver
for the modem.
