Dial-up properties slow response

Hi Everyone, when I boot my machine for the first time and
try to look at dial-up network properties it takes over 2
minutes to receive the inforamtion. This also happens when
I try to connect to the internet for the first time after
a reboot. All subsequent attempts are immediate. Has
anyone ever seen this behaviour?

Lots of times.
It's probably something to do with whether your pc can retrieve settings eg
IP address or DNS information quickly. If there's nothing there eg after a
reboot it will have to attempt to obtain, process and store all the info
again. Once its got it it will attempt to use previous saved settings first,
so as long as everythings ok and stable it should be quicker second time.
