Trying once more. I use a dial-up modem and have been
having problems getting online after booting. I will get
the message "Failed to connect to remote computer. Unable
to establish a connection." I will also have to redial
several times before getting online. When these things
happen, I get an internal error message from my ISP saying
to go to Windows Components Wizard and check the box in
Communications. For some reason I don't have
Communications in the Windows Components Wizard. I can't
put it in using the XP cd. I can't find anything regarding
this in the MS KB. Anyone?

Your ISP I believe is erroneously steering you to the Windows Components
section of add/remove programs in control panel. There is no 'Communications'
there. He may be thinking of Windows 95. I believe the problem is with your
ISP. They have a server problem. They won't admit they have a problem. If you
have to redial several times my bet is that the server is not responding. I
get the same problem at times. You can run a log of your connection to prove
it.

Also since calling your ISP is free, call them and tell them what OS you're
using and that there is no 'communication' where they said it was.
