I will be setting up a home network with a Laptop running XP Home and
a desktop running Me. I will be using a dial-up connection through the
desktop. I would like the Laptop to be wireless and have internet
access through the desktop. I would also the the printer to be shared.
I'm not exactly sure how to do this. Any suggestions would be helpful.
thanks

Set up an ad-hoc wireless network between the computers,. as shown
here. Ignore the part about enabling Internet Connection Sharing,
since your host computer is the Windows Me desktop:

Making the Wireless Home Network Connection in Windows XP Without a
Router

Enable Internet Connection Sharing on the desktop's dial-up
connection:

Configure the laptop as an ICS client.

XP ICS - Client Setup Using the Network Setup Wizard

Don't run XP's Network Setup Wizard on the desktop computer even if
the Wizard tells you to.
