Dial-up connection disappears

Whenever I create a new connection, it creates and shows
up in the network connection folder. I am able to connect
with it, and it works fine. When I restart my computer,
the connection disappears, still connects form my desktop
shortcut, but does not show up on my taskbar when I
connect. It is as though the connection has deleted itself
off my computer.

Start>controll panel>network>ISP Connection (name of the
ISP)>properites>Genreal Tab>check "Show Icon" in the lower left
section of the Genreal Tab.
