Dial Up Connectio

Is there any way to increase the speed of a user at home who has to dial up
and log in to a secure database remotely? This is not a big database, and yet
it takes quite a bit of time to open. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

While you are using an Access database, your question has nothing to do with
Access. If you are trying to increase the speed at which connection works,
then you should find a newsgroup related to connecting to the internet. I
doubt there is much you can do, though. (Other than get a better Internet
connection. Dial-up is pretty outdated)

You're running the risk of corruption your database. Even cable or DSL
connections to an Access database aren't fast enough.

Consider using something like Terminal Server, so that everything runs on
the server, and only screen images are transmitted over the dialup line.
