Dial up and VPN client is disabled

I am using windows 2000 server ,till yesterday my sytem was
working perfectly but today when I try to use dial up it's
not there and while creating it, it's showing error "Name
is not valid" at the dialog box of providing connection name.
On the wizard "connect to a privte through network " is
disabled..it's so critical for me now can any one help me???

make sure the RAS services are running...

Check if the rasman service is started using:

"net start rasman"
