Dial in not handshaking!

Hi, I am trying to remotely access a windows XP machine from an XP laptop
over dial up.

The remote machine will answer the call, but the modems refuse to handshake
& hence a connection is not established.

Has anyone got any ideas please?

What are the errors you are seeing while you try to connect?
