DHCP!

Dear All,

I have multiple sites i m going to work on one by one
I have voice gateways on these sites.
UAE has given license to company here
they r putting 1000 voice gateways
we have more sites like these in coming months

we want our dhcp to assign IP to these gateways
we dont want to assign ips in dhcp online
we would rather want to use some offline method some
scripts or something for configuring dhcp to assign these
ip's.


I know its a liltle complicated but any help would be
really appreciated!!

You want to assign a reservation for a particular DHCP address? You can statically assign IPs in DHCP by creating a reservation for a particular MAC address... I hope this helps

Hiya,

I wanto assign IP to thousands of gateways but I do not
want this to be done online.Means if I can create some
kind of scrip or something which assigns IPs to gateways
as soon as they come online.

I have couple of subnets under which these gateways comes.

DHCP requests, by default do not go through routers, this has to switched
one if the router is cabable of doing so.
