DHCP

Hello All:

Quick Question. Have an existing NT 4.0 DHCP server servicing our lan
10.0.1.x. I have one range set already .150 - .254. I need to take about
30 IP's from this existing scope and "re-issue" them with a different
gateway and DNS settings than the original. I quickly found out that DHCP
server only will allow 1 scope within the same subnet. Need to work around
this on a temporary basis.

Can I bring up a second DHCP server which will handle this special scope I
need to use without disrupting the existing server? Thanks

Hi,

You should be able to do this without a problem. This article may be useful:
