I have a staff of 12 accessing dhcp admin to create
reservations, change mac addresses etc during a large PC
rollout - are there problems with two or three different
technicians in dhcp at a time? We've seen some erratic
problems where release and renew isn't working.

I would see a problem if someone changed it from one MMC on one machine, and
it didn't refresh on the second admin's MMC on their machine. And you have
12 admins doing this? I would say to force it to one machine and have the
admins colaborate their changes.

Hello All,

With alot of people (12 in this case) making changes throughout the day, it
will very hard to pinpoint the cause of any erratic behavior. Personally,
from a security standpoint, I would have no more than 3 people with DHCP
admin. rights to the server. This should help eliminate who made changes
to who, when and why.

How big is your environment anyway?
