DHCP Problem

How can I permantly remove a DHCP scope option, without
deactivating the scope first?

I'm not sure I'm following you. If you go into the DHCP management console
and delete a scope option out of an active scope you receive an error? I
seem to be able to permanently delete various scope options on mine without
having to deactivate it.

I get the error message "action cannot be completed"

If I deactivate the scope first, I can right click and
delete no problem.

I have been unable to find anything in Microsoft's
knowledge base, or Tech Net.
