DHCP client timeout

Hi,
I want to known if there's a possibility to reduce DHCP timeout at XPE
Startup. On my network there's no a DHCP server and so the system hangs
until it reaches the timeout and after it sets an apipa address.
There's a key registry to modify for reducing this timeout or is it
possibile in Target Designer set DHCP Client Service to not start
automatically at System startup?
Thanks in advance.

I hope somebody *does* come up with an answer, but I doubt it. You can
change the time interval between attempts to find a DHCP server, and some
people think this is the timeout. But I do not believe there is any way to
change the very long time it waits before assigning an APIPA address.

I'm beginning to think it's worth it to buy a wireless switch with a DHCP
server built in.

Do let us know if you find it.

Would it not just be easier to set a static IP and then it wouldent need to
use DHCP.
