DHCP Bad_Addresses

G

Guest

We recently cfg. DHCP on a new Windows 2003 Server and unauthorized our old
DHCP svr. running on Windows 2000 Svr.

Now the new DHCP svr. is logging Bad_Addresses and we're getting IP conflicts.

Any help/insight is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Bob

Are the new dhcp server and the old one on the same scope? Could be trying
to computers trying to renew leases that the new server did not know existed
so it served out that ip already to someone else. Also make sure you do not
have any computers running with static ip addresses (or printers).

How did you do the lease and configuration migration from the Win2000 Server
to the Win2003 server?

Also, make sure you take into consiferation all the points that Eugene
mentioned.
