Device Manager Problems???

Hey. Everytime I turn on my PC a window on the bottom right pops up that
says "The software you are installing for this hardware has not passed
Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP." The
software or hardware is called "ACPI Multiprocessor PC" Is there any way to
stop this error from popping up everytime I start Windows XP? I tried
searching for ACPI and about 50 files show up, many say "Driver" or something
related. I also checked in Device Manager and there is a list, I assume, of
every kind of drive and hardware installed on my PC. And the first item on
the list at the top is the "Computer" icon and when I click on the + sign,
"ACPI Uniprocessor PC" comes out. I'm not sure if that is the name of the
hard drive or what, but it is on my PC. This has never happened before until
recently after I did the Recovery because of a problem I was having. Now it
always comes up after start-up. Any help would be appreciated. I have an HP
M370n Media Center PC. Thanks

M370n has a hyper-threading CPU, which can be thought as two CPUs.
This feature can be turned on/off in the BIOS setup.
Probably it was OFF all the time and then somehow turned ON.
Go to the BIOS setup, locate it and turn OFF again.

Thanks for the reply. Another problem I just got today in the morning is
that the ACPI Hardware Installation warning came out on the bottom like I
said, and the PC seemed to run fine, but after I left my PC for a few
minutes, I came back and it felt all laggy. Slow as hell. Whenever I minimize
or maximize a window it takes forever. Also when I click on Start and go into
Programs, it takes a long time to show the submenus of the programs,
especially the Accessories menu. And when I try to play any kind of audio,
such as mp3s in Winamp, the music sounds distorted. What could it be now???
I'm having too many problems now.
