Device connections to Home

The XP Home EULA says "You may permit a maximum of five (5) computers or
other electronic devices (each a "Device") to connect to the Workstation".
I'm wanting some clarification of what that means. If I have a drive letter
mapped to a shared folderon another computer is that a connection? I'm
needing to add another couple of computers to a 5 computer network that's
currently using XP Home on all machines. Four have a drive letter mapped to
a shared folder on the fifth one. If I add two more computers will I need to
upgrade the "server" to XP Pro?

You will run into the concurrent inbound connections limitation. Either
upgrade your pseudo-server to XP Pro, a server operating system, or
Linux if you are using the pseudo-server just as a file server and not
an application server.
