Developing Embedded apps

Hello.

Can I use VS 2008 to create Windows XP Embedded apps? What about Windows
Embedded Standard?

WES and XPe are the same thing. XP Pro broken down into components. VS2008
should work, but you will need the latest run times from VS2008 in the
image.

Hi, Sean. Thanks for responding.

I don't see how to create an XPe app in VS2008. The only templates that I
see are Pocket PC 2003, Windows CE, Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC, and .Net
Compact Framework Version 3.5.

This is my first embedded app so I'm a little lost.

Any and all help is appreciated.

One more question: Is this all feasible with VB.Net?

Compact Framework Version 3.5.

This is the way that looks good to me. In the project settings it is
possible to choose then, if .net 2.0, 3.0 or 3.5 should be used.
