Detecting reboot by querying registry?

The computer startup script could then remove the temp file.

And that's the reason this didn't work. Windows doesn't always run the
computer startup script in the GPO's. Windows spits out the "There are
currently no domain controllers" error because XP has started the
network before the switch has determined if this is a workstation or
not - so the port's not up (Cisco port fast thing) and the script never
runs.

I even have the stations set to wait for network and that doesn't help.
