Detecting a previous dual boot?

I have a user that had a dual boot between XP Home and XP Pro. I
believe that he borrowed someones XP Pro to meet network standards and
promptly removed it later. Now the user is saying he never had XP Pro.

How do I detect if XP Pro WAS on there and then removed?
