Details of sumproduct

It there a way that I can select a cell with the
sumproduct formula in it and see the details of what is
making up the cell result.
 
Edit | Go to | Special | Precedents

will show you the cells involved, if that's what you're looking for.
 
You can select self-contained bits of the formula on the Formula Bar and
apply F9 in order to see how the selected bit is evaluated.
 
Just adding to Aladin's reply... If you are in Excel 2002 or later, you can
go to the Tools menu, choose Formula Auditing then Evaluate Formula to step
through the evaluation of your formula.

Maybe. Given the number of times Excel has given me different results from
[F2], [F9] vs array or nonarray entry, I wonder which this tool gives. If
you want an example, Aladin brought the following to my attention.
