In My computer or Windows Explorer, set a window to details, then
go to Tools | Folder Options. Go to the View tab and click "Apply
to All Folders."

On the toolbar at the top of the screen click on Tools and select
Folder Options.
Click on the View tab and hit the "Apply to All Folders" button.
