detail formatted in columns

I have a subform in which the detail portion usually consists of about 50
records displayed in Continuous Form View. Rather than users having to
scroll down through the records, is it possible to format the detail section
so that it displays in columns and all records fit on the screen?

I don't think you can transpose a form, which is essentially what
you're asking if I understand correctly. Records are only meant to be
displayed horizontally.

The only way out MAY be to use multiple forms which use filtered
datasets (i.e. subform1 displays records 1 to 20, subform2 displays
records 21 to 40, etc...). Other than that, I don't see how it would
work.
