Outlook 2003 - Windows XP - Having a terrible time with emails coming
in like the following: ЭФФЕКТИВÐОЕ УПРÐВЛЕÐИЕ
ПРОЕКТÐМИz AND ÄÚ¿À·Õ µî»ê¼ÅÃ÷ äǰ
µî»ê½ºÆ½ µî»ê¹è³¶ °¡À»µî»ê¿ëǰ ±âȹÀü
and they are usually all different. They are coming in to my main email
accounts and I do not know how to set them up on Rules and Alerts to
stop them. I have tried everything to no avail...

Thank you...

Do you have Outlook's spam filter on high and have you installed the spam
filter updates? If so, it should get rid of most of these.

I usually add some of the letters to a rule - it seems to work best if those
are in the subject. Just copy and paste some of the letters - ?, Æ, À etc -
don't need too many, just the most common ones. It would be done similar to
this rule: http://www.outlook-tips.net/archives/2004/20041018.htm, except
you'll put the characters in the condition field, not as an exception.

Diane: I Have done exactly as you said in the past. I copied these
words and put or inbetween each one and also have added them to blocked
senders but this does not seem to help. Yes, I am on high blockage and
... when you ask me if I have updated the spam .. I keep my outlook
updated and assume that is what you are referring to..

Diane: I did it differently before and have now changed it - but what
happens to those emails? It does not states to delete them or send them
to "x" - also now everyone of my emails has a blue arrow showing at the
importance level on my inbox emails - is this okay?

All of the mail or just the junk mail? if junk mail, go back into the rules
and change the action that sets the importance to move to deleted folder.

What didn't work with the first rule? I'm wondering if you stumbled unto
something.... rules run after the junk filter but maybe certain actions
stop the junk rules....
