PLEASE HELP..

NONE of my URL DESKTOP SHORTCUTS work..

Double clicking on them produces NOTHING; to get to the website, I copy and
paste the URL address into my browser.

HOW is this fixed?

Please explain in detail if I am to go to a website and run a repair type
file, because I have already tried this to no avail..it seems I am not
properly unzipping the file, etc., etc.

However, I am all ears and eyes towards receiving a "fix" to my problem.

PLS ADVISE and thank you,

1. Click Start, Run and type INETCPL.CPL
2. Click the Programs tab, and click "Reset Web Settings" button
3. Select "Yes" when prompted, and click OK to close the dialog

Mr. Ramesh:

I did as you say...but still does not work; basically, my desktop icons do
NOT work when connecting to websites.

Somehow, I need to fix my registry/url (??) settings.

Any advice??

Hi Lawrence,

Type in Start, Run:

regsvr32 /i shdocvw.dll

If that does not help, download and apply the .URL association fix from
here:
