Desktop Search Macros - How do I make them?

In the Windows XP version of desktop search you could program shortcuts by
using the "@" symbol
(e.g. @docs,c:\Documents and Settings\justin\My Documents)
(e.g. @mail,http://www.hotmail.com)

This functionality does not seem to exist in the Vista Desktop Search. What
am I doing wrong? How do I make shortcuts again? Did they take this feature
out? PLEASE HELP!

You can run a search and then save the search as 'search folder'

eg

kind:docs AND System.ItemFolderPathDisplay:"C:\Users\justin\Documents"*

You could then also create a shortcut to that folder.
