Desktop - notepad pop up

Every time I start my PC, I get two of these messages on
my screen: ````[.ShellClassInfo]
LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-
21787, one on top of the other.

This did not start until I had a repair shop remove 3
virus's that came thru a "hole" in windows, I was told.
I have an HP 754n, win XP, 768 mg ram, pent 4. It doesn't
seem to cause a problem, but I'd like to put a stop to
it!! Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't have a solution for you,but I have the exact same
problem.Right now I have XP in selective startup with the
checkmark removed from the Desktop box under
the "Startup" Tab.This prevents the note pad from
appearing.I would also appreciate any suggestions.

If you will e-mail me and let me know your address, I
will forward the answer to the problem. HP Tech sent me
a rather lengthly solution (actually 3 different
suggestions), and it took care of the problem. It's too
long to submit here, and evidently you and I are the only
interested parties anyway! Waiting to hear from you.
