Desktop is orientated so that the view is horizontal.

The desktop orientation of my son's computer is a sideways view. I have never
seen this happen before. I did a virus scan and detected several and deleted
them. I ran a anti spyware program and removed many hidden items. but the
view of the desktop is rotated 90 degrees. Please Help Me!

You may want to check his video drivers. Sometimes there is a control panel
applet that will let you change this setting or there may be an icon in the
nofitication area (system tray) that will let you rotate the screen back to
normal. The concept for this rotating is for LCDs that you can actually rotate
the screen 90 degrees. We have them at work but disable the rotation ability....

go into the control panel and open display...click the
settings tab ontop..then the advanced tab right above the
apply button...there should be a place to rotate the
display back to where it's right
