In every one of my subfolder from My Documents I either have Desktop.ini or
Thumbs.db icons.
Is there any way possible to get rid of this?
This is very annoying.

Thanks for any help

Why? The desktop.ini file is created when the folder is customized. It can
be deleted but then you loose the customization. The thumbs.db file is a
cache of the display of thumbnail pics for the graphic files in that folder.

To disable the creation of Thumbs.db do the following:

In Explorer, go to Tools | Folder Options or open the Folder Options icon in
the Control Panel.
Choose the View tab, and turn off the Do not cache thumbnails option.
Click Ok.

Then delete the thumbs.db filed

Google is a good resource for searching for the answers to such questions,
as is XP's Help and Support.
